What does it cost to paint the outside of a house in Kansas City?
That is the middle half of our exterior paint jobs. We finished 58 of them from April 2025 to October 2026, on both sides of the metro, Missouri and Kansas. About half of those, around 29 jobs, landed in this range. About a quarter came in under it and about a quarter over it. The jobs ran from small to very large.
Your house has its own number. A free estimate gets you that number.
What moves the price
- How many stories, and how much of the house there is to paint.
- The siding. Wood, fiber cement and vinyl take different prep.
- Prep. Scraping, washing, caulking and priming take time on an older house.
- Wood rot. Rotten trim or siding is repaired before it is painted. Repair work adds to the job.
- Trim, doors and windows, and how much the color changes.
